‘ Dreams Never Die ‘

As rightly said by Alison Henderson “Families of the prisoners are the forgotten victims”. And rightly so the hidden victims are none but the children.

Prachi too was one such hidden victim. At the age of 15 she too had to face a host of challenges and difficulties like psychological strain, economic hardships, etc. All this happened when her father got incarcerated for a murder at his workplace.

Working in a financial firm he was the one majorly responsible for money transactions. But on a fateful day and argument amongst few ended up in murder, which got him incarcerated.

Research has frequently found an association between children’s low educational attainment and parental incarceration. But all thanks to the CPP program which helped Prachi to continue with her education and move ahead with her dream of becoming a teacher.
